Over the course of his career, Mr. Stanley’s practice has focused on litigating rideshare cases, pharmaceutical device and drug cases, mass torts, complex first-party insurance claims, and catastrophic personal injury claims.
Mr. Stanley has substantial litigation and trial experience against major pharmaceutical drug & device manufacturers as well as against Uber Technologies, Inc. In 2023, Mr. Stanley was first-chair trial attorney in a three-week Texas trial against a major vaginal mesh manufacturer. Additionally, Mr. Stanley has tried many cases through final arbitration against Uber Technologies, Inc. and, in 2024, tried the first ever jury trial against Uber Technologies, Inc. concerning the question of whether Uber Drivers are employees of Uber.
Mr. Stanley has cross examined at trial many hostile corporate witnesses, taken many 30(b)(6) depositions of corporate representatives, deposed hostile expert witnesses, developed multiple general causation expert witness reports effecting thousands of cases, prepared and presented general causation plaintiff experts for depositions, developed case specific expert reports concerning hundreds of cases, prepared and presented case specific experts for depositions, drafted and served full written discovery in several MDLs, completed full motion practice (dispositive motions, Daubert motions, motions in limine, etc.), and drafted and filed appeals to the circuit court.
